Spain & Italy

Leaving for Madrid today, then on to Barcelona, cooking school north of Rome and Cinque Terre. Any recommendations?

Posts will be a little more sparse while I'm in the road. Back in Paris in early-mid May.

Found this amazing photo. Recommend the pesto, of course, not from first-hand experience but by reputation. Enjoy!

Hey John,

If you can spare a day or two go to Ibiza. There are ferries that will go between Barcelona and the islands. Amazing parties. Mallorca is more historic and has lots of old topless Germans there. You could check out the Read's Hotel on the island and go to the restaurant. Ask for Chef Robert Bragagnolo. I used to work with him at Lobby. I'm not sure if he's actually here or there right now, but i did hear he was going back. It is a Michelin starred restaurant. If you can go to Il Bulli that would the culinary delight of your lifetime. But i'm pretty sure you have to book a table like three years in advance. At least ask?
If you will be in London than try to get to the other most famous restaurant in the world called the Fat Duck. Trust me!

Very proud of the comment you made about our heritage and the Canadian sacrifice made at Vimy!

Have fun,
